iPod Touch (Gen 5) Teardown Review
* Re-uploaded to deal with some accurate problems *.
Apple’s secret launch of the 5th Generation iPod Touch the other day was like a ninja assault: quiet, swift, as well as unanticipated. We had high hopes for this iPod, in terms of repairability, taking into consideration that the recently introduced iPhone 5 is the most repairable apple iphone.
* Apple utilized sticky AND maintaining clips to secure the 5th generation iPod Touch closed, making it a pain to also open up the tool.
* The battery is soldered to the logic board.
* Many parts are soldered together, making changing a single part impossible difficult, if not impossible, for typical people.
The 5th generation iPod Touch racked up an unsatisfactory 3/10 on the repairability range.
