Blogger Mel Wells Rips Samsung A New One For Their Default ‘Beauty Level’ Filter Read Her Scathing Message!

Way to stick up for exactly what’s right, lady!

About a week back, blog writer Mel Wells called out the telephone company Samsung for their “charm level” filter. Wells found the automated photoshop function after commemorating her brand-new phone purchase with an adorable selfie.

Unfortunately for Ms. Wells, after she took the image she recognized the phone airbrushed all her natural appeal without her approval. Remarkably, the “appeal level” filter is a default setting for each brand-new Samsung cell!

Check out M.W.’s pissed off reaction to filter-gate (listed below)!

Wow Samsung. When you get a brand name brand-new phone and go to take a selfie and understand that the default setting on the front cam is instantly on”Beauty level 8″which seemingly indicates: seriously airbrushed face. This indicates everybody who gets a brand-new Samsung phone and snaps the front cam on is immediately being informed “Hi, we’re Samsung and we believe you look way much better when we instantly airbrush your selfies for you, x 8!!”Thanks @samsungmobile for the vote of self-confidence, I believe I’ll keep my freckles and flaws because this is how I search in 3D and this is how all my pals see me in reality. I hope girls are purchasing iPhones rather of Samsungs.(Wait, do iPhones do this too?) To clarify – no apps here – this is Samsung’s DEFAULT FRONT CAMERA SETTING. Wow! The beautiful gal actually went there it’s clear she’s actually mad!

While a great deal of fans were motivated and pleased with Mel’s message, some users questioned why the author picked not to switch off the filter which might have resolved the circumstance.

In reaction, the blonde discussed:

Thanks @cosmopolitanuk for selecting this up. For those individuals stating “What’s the issue, simply turn it off,” that wasn’t the point I was making. Obviously you can turn the setting off/on as you please. The point I was making is that when you initially purchase a brand name brand-new handset, this setting is currently immediately used to the front electronic camera and to charm level 8. Currently presuming the customer desires to be airbrushed. I wished to raise this point as I believe it’s something for us the customer to choose to modify our image after its been taken, however it’s another thing for the producer to do it for us prior to we’ve even taken the shot. The more we are informed that we are expected to look perfect, the more miserable we will feel in our own skin – due to the fact that none people are perfect! On the contrary – it is our flaws that make us most gorgeous. Social network contrast has an enormous effect on stress and anxiety levels in youths and half the issue is we are existing with perfect airbrushed pictures continuously. In #TheGoddessRevolution there’s a chapter called ‘The Instaperfect Highlight Reel’. All of us utilize filters and wish to look our finest, and this is not a tirade about never ever modifying pictures due to the fact that we’ve all done it – simply keep in mind when you’re scrolling that normally exactly what you’re seeing is simply a managed and modified photo into somebody’s Instalife. That’s all. Thanks for the assistance @cosmopolitanuk A image published by M E L W E L S (@iammelwells) on Jun 25, 2016 at 8:10 am PDT

All excellent points, woman! Airbrushing is not the standard!

So, exactly what do YOU consider Mel’s message?
