Otterbox splashes color into the new iPhone 4 cases

Otterbox has found its niche in the wireless device protection category. Formerly known as the company that made those big and bulky cases for your iphone, the Otterbox line now splashes a wide range of color options for its Impact Series, Commuter Series and Defender Series cases for the gorgeous iPhone 4, as well as a broad range of other current high-end smartphones and even the iPad.
The Defender Series provides the most protection with three sturdy layers. The integrated screen protector provides another layer of protection from everyday scratches. The rugged polycarbonate shell wraps the iPhone 4 while the soft silicone jacket precisely restricts shock and bumps. The silicone also provides a barrier against dirt and dust by plugging the charging and headphone ports when not in use. Also included is a holster-style swivel belt clip that can also be used as a stand when watching video.

The Commuter Series case provides two layers of protection. The silicone skin and polycarbonate shell covers the sides and back. Besides silicone plugs, the case is is designed to be slimmer and less bulky then the Defender Series. The Commuter series includes a self-adhering screen protector, microfiber wipe cloth, and applicator card.
The Impact Series is carved with sturdy compression molded silicone featuring inner coring to avoid bumps and shock. The spray coating defends against lint collection and renders an ergonomic grip. The power, home, and volume buttons are protected by soft silicone. The Impact Series also includes the 3-pack of screen protector, microfiber cloth, and applicator card.
The Defender Series case for the iPhone 4 retails for $49.95, Commuter Series case is $34.95 and Impact Series case is $19.95.
